Alleged Drunk Driver Leaves One Dead

An alleged drunk driver killed one and left two others injured following an accident on August 11.
The incident occurred at Beach 61st Street and Beach Channel Drive when a Mitsubishi Galant — driven by Mark Creary, 25 — traveling eastbound collided with a Ford Taurus traveling northbound.
The driver of the second vehicle, Daniel Girvan, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two of his passengers, a 19-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, were taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.
Creary was also taken to Jamaica Hospital and placed under arrest. He is currently charged with driving while intoxicated.
