Fatal Accident

A construction vehicle being towed on the Grand Central Parkway became dislodged, resulting in the death of one man on Wednesday, August 15.
According to police, the construction light tower was being towed by a pick up traveling westbound when it became dislodged. The two men in the truck tried to reattach the tower, but a second vehicle wih two female occupants hit the vehicle, injuring both men.
Victim number one, Vincent D’Aquaro, 44, was pronounced dead on the scene; the second man was taken to New York Hospital Queens in serious but stable condition. The women were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
There are no signs of criminality and an investigation is ongoing.
