Man killed in car accident

A 23-year-old male died after he was ejected from a van he was a passenger in when it struck a concrete median and turned on its side. The van, which was traveling southbound on the Van Wyck Expressway near Atlantic Avenue, flipped over on its side and the 23-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene when authorities arrived.
The driver and another passenger were removed to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition. Four other passengers were also transported to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
