Rooftop gas explosion

Firefighters converged on 78th Street in Bensonhurst last week to douse a fire caused when two gas tanks left on the roof ignited into balls of flame. The ensuing explosion rocked 78th Street between 19th and 20th avenues at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
