Police arrest man in Bayside robbery

BAYSIDE — A man who stopped to use the restroom in the park at 46th Avenue at 211th Street got an unpleasant surprise when a gun was pointed at him, police said.

The man was in the park Friday afternoon sometime between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., and when he left the restroom, a man allegedly pushed him back inside, showed a gun and took his Sidekick cell phone and a bracelet, police said.

The 111th Precinct arrested Michael Morton, 23, in connection with the robbery, police said.
