FAR ROCKAWAY — A 22-year-old Far Rockaway woman was arrested earlier this month after she allegedly broke into a home, struggled with a teenage girl and stole a pocketbook, the Queens district attorney said.
Angelina Ford, of 240 Beach 12th St. in Far Rockaway, was arraigned Oct. 13 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Ira Margolis on charges of burglary, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a controlled substance, Queens DA Richard Brown said.
The defendant's bail was set at $7,500 and she will return to court Oct. 27, the DA said.
The defendant allegedly knocked on the door of a home on Gateway Boulevard in Far Rockaway Oct. 12 and pushed it open when a 14-year-old girl answered, Brown said. Ford allegedly grabbed a purse on a couch near the door and the teenage girl grabbed her arm, the DA said.
The defendant allegedly pushed the girl's arm away and fled the home, Brown said.
Upon her arrest, the defendant allegedly was in possession of cocaine, the DA said.
