Man attacked another in Corona: DA’s office

FLUSHING — A Corona man was charged with assault and harassment Dec. 30 after he punched a stranger in the face in Flushing, a spokesman for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

Manuel Vargas−Ramirez, 25, hit Weiqiang Lin, 46, of Flushing, during an altercation on Delong Street near 41st Avenue just after 11 a.m., police said.

The closed−fist punch caused Lin to have pain, swelling and bruising to the eye and face, police said.

Police did not say what caused the argument.
