A 79-year-old man was killed and his 69-year-old wife is in serious but stable condition after their luxury sedan, reportedly with keyless entry, leaked noxious fumes into their Malba home.
The incident occurred on Saturday, February 28 inside of 11-11 141st Street. Ernest Cordelia was pronounced dead on the scene; his wife was taken to Jacobi Medical Center.

Sidekick cell phone robbed
On February 26, a perp allegedly stole a Sidekick cell phone at 32nd Avenue and 198th Street.
According to police, the suspect told his victim, “Give me the phone” and proceeded to take the cell from his hand. The suspect then allegedly took a swing at the victim, but missed. He fled westbound on 32nd Avenue.
