Coupons – 20 to 40% off – at Atlas Park

Atlas Park has created its own stimulus package – a coupon program – to entice customers to shop during a slowed economy.

When customers make a purchase at one store, they receive a coupon to shop at another participating store in Atlas Park. There is no minimum purchase requirement in order to receive a coupon. The discount will vary based on the establishment where it is to be redeemed, but Peter Faccibene, CEO of the Japanese restaurant Shiro of Japan, says the discounts will range anywhere from 20 to 40 percent off the purchase price.

The coupon program was organized by 20 businesses in the Atlas Park Tenant Association to boost the slumping sales they are experiencing in the current economy.

“This is basically our own stimulus package,” Faccibene said.

He, and other businesses in Atlas Park, are trying to counteract the idea that they are expensive. Faccibene said that the shopping area only looks expensive, but that there are many affordable stores and restaurants to explore.

In spite of the economy, the businesses are doing well, said Faccibene. They have increased shopping promotions, such as this coupon program, and intend to continue brainstorming different ways to attract customers to the shopping center, which is located at 8000 Cooper Avenue in Glendale.

The coupon promotion began Monday, March 9 and will end April 30.
