JAMAICA — A Queens man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated Monday after he allegedly crashed the car he was riding in into a parked truck on Jamaica Avenue, injuring his passenger, police said.
A car allegedly driven by Devannad Mohabir, of 30−13 Cottage Place, slammed into a parked truck at around 12:30 a.m. Monday at 186th Street and Jamaica Avenue, police said.
A passenger in Mohabir’s car, identified only as a 47−year−old Indian man, was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Mohabir was charged with suspicion of driving while intoxicated, police said and the investigation was ongoing.
