P.S. 232 students
graduate to white belts

For the past few months, Sensei Gustavo Larrea of Traditional Karate America has been working with the Walter Ward School, P.S. 232, giving free lessons to the students in the school gymnasium. Recently he invited the participants to his martial arts dojo, at 98-18 103rd Avenue in Ozone Park, for a graduation ceremony.
The children received their white belts, along with a certificate, and were treated to a pizza party afterwards.
Larrea has continued the program into January, donating uniforms to the school as a fundraising effort.
