Woman killed on Whitestone Expressway

A 25-year-old woman, who police say was standing in the northbound lane of the Whitestone Expressway, in the vicinity of 28 Avenue, was struck by an auto that fled the scene. The victim was taken to New York Hospital Queens, where she was pronounced dead.
