The Wang family of Elmhurst celebrated the start of the Year of the Tiger with a new addition. Their as-yet unnamed boy was the first delivery of the Lunar New Year, delivered at New York Hospital Queens at 4:38 a.m., by attending obstetrician Dr. Weimin Qu.
It was an extra-lucky day for the Wangs. Among the gifts they received were $1,000 savings bond and a floral arrangement from the hospital, which is a member of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System and is affiliated with Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
He may be a little tiger, but for now he’s sleeping like a kitten.
