Anthony J. Fasulo

Anthony J. Fasulo, former president of the Board of Directors of the Queens Centers for Progress (QCP), passed away on the morning of Tuesday, March 9.

Fasulo also served many years as the first deputy commissioner of the Department of Transportation.

“He was a philanthropic, caring man, who was always there to help everyone,” said Maryann McAleer, who worked with Fasulo at QCP. “He was loved dearly by many and will truly be missed,” she said.

Fasulo was waked at the Colonial Funeral Home in Staten Island. A funeral Mass followed.

Richard J. Duffy

Richard J. Duffy of Whitestone passed away on March 6. Beloved husband of Mary C. Devoted father of Steven and “Paula” Duffy. Dear brother of Patricia Dyrest.

Loving grandfather of Barbara Lynn, Annemarie and Jonathan.

Arrangements were handled by the Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home.

Barbara L. Whitfield

Barbara L. Whitfield of Flushing passed away on March 10.

A retired secretary at St. Andrew Avellino R.C. Church, she was the beloved wife of the late James and devoted mother of Barbara Lee Orlowski.

Loving grandmother of James Boylan and Daniel McNamara. Dear sister of Christian Wilding Jr. and Corrine Wilding.

Arrangements were handled by the Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home in Flushing. A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Andrew Avellino R.C. Church. Interment was at Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery.
