JAMAICA — Police were searching for suspects in a violent shooting that took place in Jamaica Friday morning.
Devone Reaves, 39, of Queens was killed inside his grey Mercedes coupe at the corner of Sutphin Boulevard and South Road around 9:30a.m., police said.
The suspects, who had not been caught as of Tuesday afternoon, fired several shots into his car, killing Reaves instantly, before fleeing the scene, according to investigators.
The investigation was ongoing, police said.
Officers blocked off the streets in a two-block radius as they combed the neighborhood for evidence Friday morning. The car was parked near some small businesses and owners said they were not around when the shooting occurred.
