NEWS BRIEFS Samuel Field Y Medicaid Waiver

FOREST HILS – The Samuel Field Y will begin offering Medicaid waivers for after-school programs for children ages 5-21 with developmental disabilities on Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the school year at the Central Queens Y in Forest Hills. Participants will enjoy educational and recreational programming with the Y’s highly trained staff and a provided snack. Door-to-door transportation will be available through many schools to the Y via Department of Education buses. Transportation from the Y to home will be provided within the catchment area. The program will focus on meeting the unique needs of the participants including skills for socialization and independence. Eligible participants must be enrolled and eligible for Medicaid.
