Police are looking for a man they say tried to sexually assault a 12-year-old girl in southeast Queens earlier this week.
The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the 103rd Precinct, which covers Jamaica, Hollis Park Gardens, Hollis and Lakewood, on Sept. 28 around 3:50 p.m., police said. The suspect allegedly followed behind the girl on the street, grabbed her arm, pulled her to the side of a building and tried to sexually assault her, according to investigators.
The girl screamed and the suspect fled on foot, police said.
Investigators released a sketch and a description of the suspect Thursday night. He was described as a black man in his 40s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin build and a dark complexion, according to police.
