JAMAICA — A Rosedale man who allegedly robbed a Popeye’s restaurant in Jamaica was arraigned last week in Queens Supreme Court, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.
Gary Smith, 23, allegedly broke into the restaurant through the drive-thru window and stole $1,400 from the Jamaica venue sometime between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. Sept. 9, 2008, according to the DA.
Police sent blood they collected from the broken drive-thru window to the lab for analysis, which matched the sample submitted by Smith, a convicted offender, Brown said.
Smith has been charged with burglary, criminal mischief and grand larceny, the DA said.
