Man robbed wallet while victim was asleep: Cops

LONG ISLAND CITY — The city Police Department has requested the public’s help in finding a suspect who allegedly stole from a 28-year-old white man in Long Island City.

On Oct. 9 at about 5 a.m., a suspect described as a black man about 25 to 30 years old and wearing a black shirt with blue jeans removed the victim’s backpack and wallet while the man was asleep on a Queens-bound E train at the 23rd Street-Ely Avenue subway station, police said.
