QUEENS VILLAGE — A Rosedale teen was arraigned on attempted burglary charges after he allegedly tried to burst into a Queens Village home, a spokeswoman for the Queens district attorney’s office said.
Fernando Negron, 17, of 240-26 146th Ave. in Rosedale, allegedly tried to burglarize the home with an apprehended juvenile on 233rd Street between 2:05 p.m. and 2:55 p.m. March 21 when a witness saw them attempting to open a window and a side door, according to the criminal complaint.
The eyewitness called police and Negron was charged with attempted burglary, the complaint said.
Negron was arraigned March 22 before Queens Criminal Court Judge John Zoll, who released him on his own recognizance, the spokeswoman said.
The teen is next scheduled to appear in court April 18, the spokeswoman said.
