The Queens Courier received almost 150 pictures of the cutest pets from around the borough to compete in our pet contest.
We received pictures of dogs, cats and birds. Some were dressed up; some were caught sleeping, while others played outside.
The tough competition made narrowing the field a difficult task.
The winner of the contest came from Randi Schwartz’s picture of a bird and cat sitting together peacefully on the couch.
The first place finisher in the contest won two tickets to an upcoming Mets game, “Bark in the Park,” to which they can bring their winning friend. Second place received $200 of veterinarian services courtesy of Central Veterinary Association; third place received $100 of veterinarian services courtesy of Central Vet. Fourth place received one free wellness exam plus one free microchipping for one pet at North Shore Animal League.
