U.S. Open job fair
The USTA is holding its first ever job fair for the upcoming U.S. Open on Thursday, July 7 from noon to 4 p.m.
Hundreds of immediate openings will be available in guest services, hospitality, food & beverage, licensed security guards, maintenance, drivers and clerical work.
Positions will be available through companies involved with the Open including: the USTA, Levy Restaurants, CSC Security, Integratas, Fugazy Transportation, FMI and Entertainment and Sports Services.
The job fair will be held at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows- Corona Park. Applicants should enter through the East Gate.
Gas prices are lowest in months
Prices at the pump have fallen two more cents, as gas continues its weeks-long downward trend.
Though prices are still more than one dollar higher than a year ago, gas fell to $3.975 from just under $4 last week, according to AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge. Gas has fallen almost 15 cents in the past month and 30 cents since May when prices approached all time highs.
Nationwide prices are $3.562, one cent higher than a week ago.
