Man wanted for robbery in Forest Hills

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a man wanted for a robbery in Forest Hills.

The suspect approached the victim, a 54-year-old woman, from behind, pushing her to the ground near 111-29 78th Avenue, according to police.  Once on the ground the suspect began punching and kicking the victim, police said.  The victim’s pocketbook, containing money, credit cards and papers, was stolen. The victim sustained bruising and pain but was not hospitalized.

Police describe the suspect as between the ages of 35-40, approximately 6-feet-2-inches tall, with a thin build, last seen wearing a black wool hat, black jacket with fur, blue jeans and black sneakers.
