Customers and residents came through in a big way by donating hundreds of toys and coats during drives held by Maspeth Federal Savings during the holiday season. As noted, the bank collected 686 coats during the New York Cares Coat Drive and 502 toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. The bank set up drop off points at all of its branches, and staff members collected the items and personally delivered them to each charity for quick distribution.
