MASPETH — Police arrested a Maspeth man for allegedly impersonating an officer in the neighborhood Friday morning, police said.
Nick Francis, 27, of 65-15 Grand Ave., was allegedly riding around in his car around 3:40 a.m. Friday when he pulled over a victim, claimed to be a police officer, took the victim’s jacket and then drove off in his car, which had flashing strobe lights, police said.
Francis was arrested shortly after the incident by two 104th Precinct officers, who also recovered a bulletproof vest and a gun holster from Francis’ car, police said.
