A firefighter and a resident suffered minor injuries after a one-alarm fire broke out inside a home on the Ridgewood/Bushwick border in Brooklyn on Monday afternoon, Feb. 20, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the flames ignited at around 12:15 p.m. inside the two-story residence on St. Nicholas Avenue near Linden Street. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 271, 218, 291 and 238; Ladder companies 124, 112, 140 and 154; Squad Co. 252; Rescue 4; and Battalions 35 and 37-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 104th Precinct and EMS units. Two hose lines were used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, an FDNY source said.
