A Glendale home suffered minor damage after a minivan lost control and collided into its side on Sunday morning, May 6, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the accident occurred at around 6:30 a.m., when a minivan traveling in the vicinity of Central Avenue and 73rd Place swerved and struck the side of a home. Upon impact, FDNY sources said, the van burst into flames; the driver reportedly ran out of the vehicle and was not injured. Members of Engine companies 286 and 319, Ladder companies 135 and 140, Squad Co. 288, Rescue 4, Battalion 28 and the 104th Precinct responded to the scene. Neither the crash nor the fire caused major damage to the home. No injuries were reported.
