M Train Shutdown Next Three Weekends

Weekend M train shuttle service between Metropolitan Avenue-Middle Village and Myrtle Avenue-Broadway will be suspended this weekend, from 4 a.m. Saturday, June 16, until 10 p.m. Sunday, June 17. This service disruption will also take place the following two weekends, June 23-24 and June 30-July 1.

Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service and make all stops along the M shuttle line. Riders can transfer between the shuttle buses and the L train at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues or the J train at Myrtle Avenue- Broadway.

The shuttle buses will stop at the M train stations as follows:

– Metropolitan Avenue-at the Q54 bus stop on Metropolitan Avenue at Rentar Plaza;

– Fresh Pond Road-at the B20 bus stop on Putnam Avenue at Fresh Pond Road (to Myrtle Avenue-Broadway) or the Q58 bus stop on Fresh Pond Road at Putnam Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue);

– Forest Avenue-at the B20 bus stop on Putnam Avenue at Fairview Avenue (to Myrtle Avenue-Broadway) or the Q58 bus stop on Fairview Avenue at Putnam Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue);

– Seneca Avenue-at B38 bus stops on Seneca Avenue at Palmetto Street;

– Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues-at the B13 bus stop on Gates Avenue at Wyckoff Avenue (to Myrtle Avenue- Broadway) or the Q58 bus stop on Palmetto Street at Myrtle Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue);

– Knickerbocker Avenue-at B54 bus stops on Myrtle Avenue at Knickerbocker Avenue;

– Central Avenue-on Myrtle Avenue at Cedar Street (to Myrtle Avenue Broadway) or the B54 bus stop on Myrtle Avenue at DeKalb Avenue (to Metropolitan Avenue); and

– Myrtle Avenue-Broadway-at the B46 bus stop on Broadway at Myrtle Avenue.

Subway Changes

The MTA has scheduled a number of service changes for several subway lines throughout the city due to construction work.

These service advisories are current as of Wednesday, June 13. Last minute changes to service and operating schedules may be made due to weather-related conditions or emergency repairs. Check www.mta.info for schedule changes.

Rail lines which run through the area that will be affected include the following:

More Disruptions Along The 7 Line

Flushing-bound 7 trains will skip the 33rd Street, 40th Street, 46th Street, 52nd Street and 69th Street stations on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. through Friday, July 6.

For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or 74th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushingbound 7 train.

Additionally, Manhattan-bound 7 trains will skip the 111th Street, 103rd Street, 90th Street and 82nd Street on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. through June 22.

For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or 74th Street, then transfer to a Flushing bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or Mets-Willets Point, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train.

Furthermore, there will be no 7 train service between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street on Tuesday, June 19, from 12:01 until 5 a.m. Regular service will continue on the 7 line between Queensboro Plaza and Main Street-Flushing.

For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer to the N train at either Queensboro Plaza or Times Square-42nd Street or the E train at 74th Street-Roosevelt Avenue or 42nd Street-Port Authority.

During the shutdown, shuttle buses will provide alternate service to the 7 train in Long Island City between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue. These buses will additionally stop at Queens Plaza for connections to the E train.

The shuttle buses will stop at the 7 train stations as follows:

– Queensboro Plaza-on Queens Plaza South at 27th Street;

– Queens Plaza-on Jackson Avenue at Queens Plaza South;

– Court Square-23rd Street-on 44th Drive at 23rd Street (to Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue) or on 23rd Street at 44th Drive (to Queensboro Plaza);

– Hunters Point Avenue-on 21st Street at 49th Avenue; and

– Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue- on Vernon Boulevard at 50th Avenue.

Weekend Line Swap Set For All E Trains

E trains will run on the F line in both directions between 36th Street in Queens and West Fourth Street in Manhattan this weekend, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, June 16, until 5 a.m. Monday, June 18.

During this period, Jamaica Center bound E trains will resume regular service after 21st Street-Queensbridge, while World Trade Center-bound E trains will resume normal service after West Fourth Street.

As a result, E trains will not stop at the Queens Plaza or Court Square- 23rd Street stations. For service to these stations, take the 7 train, which is available at the 74th Street-Roosevelt Avenue or the Fifth Avenue/ 42nd Street-Bryant Park stations, or the R train, which is available at the Roosevelt Avenue or 34th Street-Herald Square stations.

Overnight Switch Of Lines For F Trains

F trains will operate local service in both directions between 21st Street-Queensbridge and Roosevelt Avenue overnights on Tuesday through Friday from 12:30 until 5 a.m. through June 29. These trains will stop at 36th Street, Steinway Street, 46th Street, Northern Boulevard and 65th Street.

Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.
