The public will get a chance to speak out on plans for the reconstruction of part of the children’s playground at Evergreen Park in Glendale during the Community Board 5 Parks Committee meeting on Monday night, Sept. 24.
As announced by District Manager Gary Giordano, the meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of P.S. 68, located at 59-09 St. Felix Ave.
Attendees can enter the school cafeteria through the St. Felix Avenue side entrance, which is adjacent to Evergreen Park.
Giordano said that the protion of the park planned for improvements is the section of the children’s playgorund that currently has the bocce court and sprinkler area. He thanked City Council Member Elizabeth Crowley for obtaining capital funding for this project.
Evergreen Park is located on St. Felix Avenue between 60th Place and 60th Street. Local residents are encouraged to attend Monday’s meeting and provide input regarding the park plans.
