Pocketbook stolen inside Woodside mosque: Police

WOODSIDE — An unholy thief stole a woman’s pocketbook while she was praying inside a mosque, police said.

On Feb. 27, the 65-year-old woman was praying at the Fasjid Fatima Mosque, at 57-16 37th Ave., when the thief made off with her cash and bank cards at around 5:30 p.m., though there were no reported injuries, according to the NYPD.

The suspect was recorded on surveillance footage, which police subsequently released to the public.
