Wall collapses on man near Queens Center: FDNY

ELMHURST — A 22-year-old man was crushed near the Queens Center Mall after a wall there had collapsed on him, fire officials said.

According to the FDNY, the unidentified man was crossing the street from the mall on 59th Avenue near 92nd Street around 4 p.m. April 4 when the top part of a nearby brick facade fell on top of him.

The man was taken to Elmhurst Hospital with severe head trauma and was listed in critical condition, officials said.
