Queens native and reality TV personality Gia Allemand died Wednesday night from injuries sustained after an apparent suicide attempt, reports said.
Allemand, 29, who was born in Howard Beach and grew up on Staten Island, hanged herself Monday, according to the New York Post.
Her longtime boyfriend, NBA player Ryan Anderson, discovered the actress in their New Orleans home. She was taken to University Hospital where she died after being taken off life-support Wednesday, according to the Post.
