A toddler was killed Sunday after an SUV struck her in Flushing.

Allison Liao, 3, and her grandmother were crossing the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Main Street around 5:30 p.m. when the car hit the child, said police.

She was taken to Booth Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver remained on the scene and was issued a summons for a failure to exercise due care and a second summons for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, said police.
