Fastrack Repairs Affect Qns. Lines
The MTA’s Fastrack cleanup and maintenance program will affect service on the E, F, M and R lines between western Queens and midtown Manhattan late nights on Monday, Jan. 20, through Friday, Jan. 24, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
During this period, E trains will operate between Jamaica Center and Roosevelt Avenue, making all local stops. F trains will operate in two sections: between Jamaica-179th Street and Roosevelt Avenue and between 21st Street-Queensbridge and Stillwell Avenue.
Service on the M line between Essex Street in Manhattan and 71st- Continental Avenues in Forest Hills will end early on Monday through Thursday nights. M trains will operate between Essex Street and Middle Village-Metropolitan Avenue.
R train service in western Queens will also end early between Whitehall Street and 71st-Continental Avenues on Monday through Thursday from 10 p.m. until midnight. R trains will only run in Brooklyn between Court Street and Bay Ridge-95th Street.
Shuttle buses will replace all local train service in western Queens between Roosevelt Avenue and Queensboro Plaza, stopping at 65th Street, Northern Boulevard, 46th Street, Steinway Street, 36th Street and Queens Plaza.
For alternate service to Manhattan from Queens, transfer to the 7 line at Roosevelt Avenue.
7 Trains Skip Stops To Flushing Weekdays
Flushing-bound 7 trains will run express service between Queens Boulevard and Mets-Willets Point on Thursday, Jan. 16, and Friday, Jan. 17, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. These trains will continue to stop at the Woodside-61st Street and Junction Boulevard stations.
For service to the 33rd Street, 40th Street, 46th Street, 52nd Street, 69th Street, 74th Street, 82nd Street, 90th Street, 103rd Street and 111th Street stations, take the 7 train to Woodside- 61st Street, Junction Boulevard or Mets-Willets Point, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train.
For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard, Woodside-61st Street or Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushingbound 7 train.
Split Svc. Day & Night On L Trains In Bklyn.
L train service will operate in two sections-between Eighth Avenue and Broadway Junction and between Broadway Junction and Canarsie- Rockaway Parkway-this weekend, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, until 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20.
Riders can transfer between L trains at Broadway Junction to continue their trip.
During this period, it was noted, all L trains running between Broadway Junction and Canarsie- Rockaway Parkway will operate every 24 minutes. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.
Weekend Express On E, R In W. Queens
Jamaica Center-bound E trains will skip the 36th Street, Steinway Street, 46th Street, Northern Boulevard and 65th Street stations late nights this weekend, from 12:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, until 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20; and late nights on Friday, Jan. 17, from 12:15 until 5 a.m .
Additionally, Forest Hills-bound R trains will skip these stations all this weekend on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 18-19. It was noted that all R trains this weekend would be extended along the F line to the Jamaica-179th Street stations.
For service to the skipped stations, take the E or R train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattanbound E or R train. For service from these stations, take the E or R train to Queens Plaza, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E train or a Jamaica-bound R train.
Stations Skipped On E, F Lines Late Nights
Manhattan-bound E and F trains will skip the Van Wyck Boulevard and 75th Avenue stations late nights on Thursday, Jan. 16, and Friday, Jan. 17, from 9:45 p.m. until 5 a.m. During this period, Manhattan-bound F trains will also skip the Sutphin Boulevard station.
For service to Van Wyck Boulevard or 75th Avenue, take the E or F train to Union Turnpike or 71st- Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E train or a Jamaica-bound F train. For service to the Sutphin Boulevard station, take the F train to Union Turnpike, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train.
For service from these stations, take the E train to Union Turnpike or Jamaica-Van Wyck, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E train; or the F train to Union Turnpike or Parsons Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound F train.
Weekend Line Switch For F Trains To Jam.
Jamaica-bound F trains will run on the E line between 47th-50th Streets and Roosevelt Avenue this weekend, from 9:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, until 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20.
As a result of this service change, Jamaica-bound F trains will skip the 57th Street, Lexington Avenue-63rd Street, Roosevelt Island and 21st Street-Queensbridge stations.
For service to Roosevelt Island and 21st Street-Queensbridge, take the F train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound F train. For service from these stations, take the F train to 47th-50th Streets, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train.
Additionally, Jamaica-bound F trains will operate local service between Roosevelt Avenue and 71st- Continental Avenues on Friday, Jan. 10, from 12:30 until 5 a.m. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.
Trains Skips Two Ozone Park Stations
Manhattan-bound A trains will skip the 111th Street and 104th Street stations on Thursday, Jan. 16, and Friday, Jan. 17, from 9:45 a.m. until 3 p.m. This service change will be in effect the following week between Wednesday and Friday, Jan. 22-24.
For service to these stations, take the Q112 bus along Liberty Avenue. For service from these stations, take the A train to Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train.
