FOREST HILLS — Police were looking for a suspect they said is going around depositing checks stolen from mailboxes.
The man, who was caught on camera at an ATM in the Bronx, allegedly steals checks from mail boxes, alters the amount and then deposits the phony checks at ATMs, police said.
He is suspected of having struck eight times, authorities said.
