Blau Weiss Gottschee U12 Super Y team returned from Florida after competing in the National Championship. The team had a great run getting all the way to the final before losing to new MLS team, Orlando City FC 3-1; only goal for BWG was scored by Jack McGlynne. In the semifinals the kids won against NJSA 2-1 with goals scored by Sal Russo and Niko Androupolus. The team is made up of players born in 2001, 2002 and 2003. Kids faced much older competition through out the tournament but still were able to clinch second place in the Super Y Nationals. Reportedly, the team’s play impressed many at the Florida tournament.
