Jackson Heights residents looking for their bubble tea fix will soon have a local place to slurp up the sweet drinks mixed with tapioca pearls.

The international chain CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice will open its sixth Queens location at 37-01 82nd St. next spring, according to Judson Ain, broker at Flushing Kent Realty Management. The Taiwanese-based company was founded in Tamsui, Taiwan in 1997 and serves an eclectic mix of milk-based teas, fruit-based teas, smoothies and seasonal beverages.

Milk tea flavors include jasmine milk tea, French caramel milk tea and Japanese matcha milk tea. Passionfruit green tea, lemon black tea and mango green tea are among the fruit tea offerings.

The location, situated within the Jackson Heights Landmark District, previously housed a jewelry store that has since moved a few storefronts down.

“After almost a year of vetting potential tenants for the space, it was decided that CoCo Fresh Juice and Tea would be the strongest candidate for the location with the best chance to succeed,” Ain said. “This type of use for this historic district in Jackson Heights will benefit the surrounding tenants as well by enhancing foot traffic.”
