Police seek man who went missing from Jamaica train station

JAMAICA — Police were asking for the public’s help in trying to find a man who has been missing since Oct. 17.

Shan Forbes, 31, was last seen about 12 p.m. that day inside of the Jamaica Center/Parsons Archer Boulevard subway station, according to the NYPD. Forbes, who lives in Laurelton, was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and red and black sneakers. Police described him as being 5-feet-9, and weighing 150 pounds with brown eyes.

Police released a photograph of the missing man, and were encouraging anyone with information about Forbes or his whereabouts to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1 (800) 577-TIPS. People can also submit tips online at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com, and police said all calls would be confidential.
