We’ll take “Queens Residents on Game Shows” for a thousand, Alex!

Chelsea Cohen, a production editor from Astoria, will be competing in an upcoming episode of the popular quiz show “Jeopardy!”

The episode is set to air on Thursday, Dec. 15, on ABC. Check your local listings or go on the “Jeopardy!” website for more information.

This is not the first time a resident of Queens has competed on “Jeopardy!” Another woman from Astoria competed on “Jeopardy!” in 2014 and went on to win $16,800. Last year, a woman from Rego Park competed in the semifinals of the “Jeopardy!” Teachers Tournament.

“Jeopardy!”, hosted by Alex Trebek, is on its 33rd season of syndication. In its 30+ years on the air, “Jeopardy!” has won several awards and distinctions, including the Guinness World Records record for the most Emmy Awards won by a TV game show, with a total of 33 Emmy Awards.
