Man breaks into Jamaica restaurant and takes off with cash register: cops

Police are looking for a man who broke into a Jamaica restaurant and stole the cash register.

According to police, at 11:58 p.m. on Jan. 10, an unknown man approached Restaurante y Panaderia Guatelinda, located at 170-18 Jamaica Ave., rolled up the security gate up and entered the restaurant through the unsecured front door.

Once inside, authorities said, the suspect removed the cash register, which contained $150, and fled the scene through the rear exit.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic man who was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweater, a dark colored jacket and light blue jeans.
