The 2018 Dan Ferrante JFK Golf Outing and Gala Dinner was held this year and well attended by so many supportive members of the JFK Airport Community. Each year participants remember Dan by attending this memorial event and helping raise proceeds for various cancer care organizations as St. Judes Hospital and others . This year the First Company Pink was one of the new recipients. ”Pink” works for the prevention and early testing of breast cancer.
The Ferrante fund-raising event was started after Dan Ferrante died and friends and associates at the airport wanted to help honor this man as well as fund organizations to fight cancer and support care facilities. According to a friend, “Dan’s door was always open to anyone who had a problem or need. He was always there”. And so the event was created to continue to ”be there” for supporting those faced with cancer.
Brenda Ferrante had this to say to everyone who turned out: I am overwhelmed each year by the warmth and friendship that you all shower on me and my family as you come to golf and celebrate the spirit of giving in my husband’s name.”
