The Carnaval De La Cultura Latina will be returning to Jackson Heights on Sept. 18 in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
In addition to providing entertainment for the whole family, the event will promote the art, music, dance and great food from Latino cultures, which are all well represented in the borough of Queens.
Vendors on hand at the event will be able to provide all kinds of Latin American arts and crafts, music, food and many other items to those in attendance. There will also be inflatable rides, face painting, games and lots of giveaways to entertain the children.
An array of family activities and interactive experiences will be available at the pavilions. Many of these activities and experiences will have an emphasis on health and wellness for the whole family.
In addition to Queens, the event will be held in the Bronx on July 11 and Yonkers on Aug. 22. It is scheduled to occur in Miami and Doral, Florida, sometime in the fall.
With New York City another year removed from the pandemic, the expectation is that attendance will be much higher compared to last year, which would result in more free health screenings.
Alcohol will not be served at the event. The organizers are still accepting sponsorship applications.
