Police confiscate large speakers from ‘noisy car meets,’ late night parties in Maspeth

Police confiscated several large speakers in Maspeth early Monday morning, Aug. 15, from “noisy car meets and other late night parties,” according to authorities.

Officers from the 104th Precinct in Maspeth responded to a noise complaint in the vicinity of Maurice Avenue and 54th Avenue just after 2 a.m. on Aug. 15.

Upon their arrival, officers observed a 22-year-old male operating a sound device at an unreasonable level, according to a police spokesperson.

The spokesperson told QNS that there were no arrests made, but a 22-year-old male was issued a summons.
