Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal stabbing inside a residential building near College Point Boulevard Friday morning in Flushing.

Police from the 109th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding an unconscious woman inside a 5th-floor apartment at 132-59 41st Road just before 7 a.m. on Aug. 26.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered the body of a woman in a bedroom who had been stabbed multiple times in her chest, police said. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the NYPD.

Police on Monday, Aug. 29, identified the woman as Chen Fang, who they say lived in the apartment.

“I was shocked to hear about the horrific murder of a woman in an apartment in downtown Flushing this morning, and my thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim,” Councilwoman Sandra Ung said. “My office has been in close contact with the 109th Precinct, and will continue to monitor the investigation into this tragic incident.”

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
