Flushing Councilwoman Sandra Ung on Friday, Nov. 18, distributed 330 turkeys to residents ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

“Many of our friends and neighbors are going through difficult economic times right now, so hopefully these turkeys will bring a little peace of mind and give them one less thing to worry about this Thanksgiving,” Ung said. “I want to sincerely thank the organizations and individuals who donated to make this distribution possible and helped brighten the holidays for so many people and families.”

The distribution was made possible thanks to the generosity of several local organizations and businesses, including the Flushing Chinese Business Association, Chinese American Real Estate Association, NY East Chapter of the Asian Real Estate Association of America, The Law Office of Richard Lee and local supermarkets H Mart and Jmart. Support for some of the deliveries was provided by Asian American Cohesion.
