Stop & Shop has remodeled more stores across Queens with the company’s $140 million capital investment for its New York City stores.

On Feb. 24, Stop & Shop re-opened the Arverne, Rockaway and Springfield Gardens stores. The remodeling was announced in 2022, which features brighter and more modern decor, making signage more friendly for non-native English speakers.

Over 3,000 new items have been added to the stores’ multicultural selection, along with a remodeled produce, bakery and grab-and-go departments.

“We are so excited to unveil our newly remodeled stores to the diverse Queens communities we serve and to deliver the variety and assortment our customers have been asking for,” said Tarik Stewart, regional vice president of Stop & Shop. “We hope that the addition of thousands of new multicultural items will offer customers the comfort and taste of home, and we’re so glad that our stores are now a one-stop-shop for every ingredient they need.”

Customers who visited during its re-opening enjoyed samples of new products, giveaways and celebratory cake.
