Police from the 104th Precinct are searching for three suspects in connection with the burglary of a pharmacy in Ridgewood last weekend.

According to police, at approximately 3: 28 a.m. on Nov. 5, the three unidentified criminals broke into JRX Pharmacy, located at 65-15 Fresh Pond Rd. in Ridgewood. Authorities said the crooks smashed the electronic keypad to the front gate and broke the glass at the front door to enter the pharmacy.

While inside, the trio attempted to break into a medical box where various drugs are stored, but were unsuccessful and were unable to remove any items, police said. No property was taken.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information in regard to the identity of the suspect is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips on Twitter @NYPDTips.

The recent break-in at the Ridgewood pharmacy continues a trend seen within the confines of the 104th Precinct in recent months.

Over the summer, one pharmacy in Maspeth and another in Middle Village was burglarized, with the crooks taking either prescription drugs or cash. In September, two more pharmacies were the targets of a burglary in Glendale and another in Middle Village, in which prescription drugs were stolen.

In total, burglary incidents within the 104th Precinct are down by 25%, year-to-date, according to the NYPD’s most recent crime stats.
