Ridgewood’s public library, located at 20-12 Madison St., initially closed for one week starting on Dec. 14 to undergo heating repairs, according to QPL. The work was expected to be completed last week, but further inspections conducted by plumbers found additional steam leaks. The library said it needs extra time to do the repairs and says the branch will reopen in the new year.
“As a result of the additional work, the branch will be closed for at least one more week. We are sorry for the inconvenience to our customers and will let them know if the reopening time frame changes,” said Elisabeth “Lisi” de Bourbon, director of communications for QPL.
