Councilman Robert Holden’s office is teaming up with the LES Ecology Center to help Queens residents get rid of those old computers, TVs, and other electronics this month.

On Saturday, Jan. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., an electronic waste recycling event will take place at Rosemary’s Playground, located on Woodward Avenue and Woodbine Street, in Ridgewood

This annual e-waste event, also co-hosted by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, gives neighbors a safe and easy way to get rid of their electronics that can’t be thrown away with regular trash.

Acceptable electronic items include working and non-working computers, monitors, printers/scanners, keyboards, computer mice, cables, TVs, VCRs and DVD players, phones, audio/visual equipment, cell phones and personal digital assistants (PDA’s).

For more information or any questions about the e-waste recycling event visit lesecologycenter.org or call 212.447.4022.
