A Flushing service station was one of three locations to sell a top-prize winning TAKE 5 ticket in the May 25 evening drawing, each ticket worth $11,714, the New York Lottery announced Sunday.
The lucky ticket in Flushing was sold at Nor Pike Service Station Inc, located at 146-15 Union Turnpike. The other two winning tickets were sold in Bohemia and Brooklyn.
TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a pool of 1 through 39, with the drawings broadcast twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Winners have up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes.
The New York Lottery, the largest and most profitable lottery in North America, contributed $3.7 billion to support education in New York State in the fiscal year 2022-2023.
